Several of my family members are buried in the same small section of Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois. It’s a well-organized cemetery, broken into sections and most gravestones are facing the same direction in any given section. It’s hard to see from this photo, but trust me, they’re pretty much all facing the same direction.

Education is important for genealogists to undertake. With a vast array of records that we consult to the techniques that we use to solve tough problems, it’s vital that we stay in the know and continually learn. This is a topic that I am passionate about.
