You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet these days.  Not much blogging, I’ve missed several carnivals, and have not been participating in much genealogy discussion.  In fact, I haven’t been doing much research for the past several weeks.

About a week ago, while reading another genea-blogger’s post, it finally occurred to me what’s been bugging me.  I think I’ve just been overwhelmed, which led to genea-burnout.  I have a lot of things up in the air, lots of leads, and lots of sources to explore.  So much swirl has lead to burnout and I just haven’t been able to get back into it, until now.  I think identifying what my problem was has helped me to understand why I had “given up” for awhile.  That said, I’m slowly picking myself up and getting back into my research, one step at a time, trying to keep the overwhelming feelings to a minimum by simply focusing on a few things as opposed to way too many things at once.

Yesterday was the first day I had done any research, and in fact, I made some new discoveries.  I’m hoping that my blogging will pick up as well.  I have lots to share, both here and at my other blogs.  Stay tuned…
