Week 17 Prompt: At Worship

This week’s 52 Ancestors theme is “At Worship.” The first thing that came to mind were church records (I love church records!). And, since it’s my cousin’s birthday this week, I thought I’d share a recently-found baptism record for his second great-grandmother Mary Murnane. Mary’s mother, Margaret Ryan, is our shared ancestor, making us half fourth cousins.

It looks like the mother’s name is recorded as Mary (notice Margt in the next line for Margaret), but the mother’s name is Margaret. Below is the civil registration to corroborate.
