Submissions are now being accepted for the Chicago Genealogical Society 2015-2016 Writing Contest.  Entries are due by May 30, 2016.  You do not have to be a member of the CGS to enter.  According to their website, “Submissions may be either a family history that covers three to four generations, or a personal history about life in Chicago, and must demonstrate proper use of genealogical methodology, techniques, and sources.”

Monetary prizes will be awarded to the winners, and winning entries will be published in CGS’s quarterly magazine Chicago Genealogist.

For additional information, including rules and the entry form, visit the Contest page at the CGS website.
