And wouldn\u2019t ya know, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geneamusings.com\/\">Randy\u2019s<\/a> challenge was something I literally JUST posted a few minutes ago\u2026too funny.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Here is the task for this week:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Think of three things that you learned about Genealogy or Family History today.<\/li>\n<li>Tell us about them in a blog post or a comment to this post.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nSo the <a title=\"And the Happy Dance Continues\" href=\"http:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/and-the-happy-dance-continues\/\">post<\/a> I just did was about three things I learned about my own family tree.\u00a0 I thought I\u2019d go ahead and include three general genealogy things I learned\/found over the last few days as well.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chicagogenealogy.com\/onestep\/priests\/priestsparishes.html\">Chicago Catholic Priests &amp; Parishes<\/a> \u2013 This tool was created by <a href=\"http:\/\/chicagogenealogy.com\/\">ChicagoGenealogy.com<\/a>.\u00a0 Right now, it is not accessible from the Chicago Genealogy site, but the site owner was kind enough to send me a link to the \u201corphan\u201d page as it pertained to a lookup she did for me.\u00a0 The tool allows you to search for the \u201cpossible parish when all you have is a priest\u2019s name from a marriage license.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newenglandancestors.org\/\">NEHGS Digital Library<\/a> \u2013 I learned how to use the library card catalog to find digital archives available online.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thought I\u2019d actually participate on a Saturday night.
