As always, feel free to play with the theme. Do you have postcards depicting places that incorporate the word white (or bianco, blanc etc.)? How about a play on words (e.g. white elephant, it`s not black &amp; white?) You\u2019ve pretty well got carte blanche!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nPlaying into the theme of \u201cwhite,\u201d I decided to go the black and <strong>white<\/strong> route.\u00a0 Many of you know I collect old photographs, including real photo postcards.\u00a0 I\u2019ve picked them up at antique stores, estate sales, and eBay.\u00a0 Until today, I didn\u2019t even know I had <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">my own<\/span><\/strong> real photo postcards!\u00a0 I have a whopping total of seven, all identified (such a deal!!).\u00a0 So for this edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogcarnival.com\/bc\/cprof_6949.html\">A Festival of Postcards<\/a>, I thought I\u2019d share one of these finds instead of an orphan on my other blog.<\/p>\n<p>This is an RFC of my grandfather, Harold MILLER and his brother Raymond.\u00a0 I estimate that this photo was taken about 1920, based on the ages of the boys and their known birth dates (it also corresponds with the stamp identified at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playle.com\/realphoto\/\">playle.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Aren\u2019t they adorable?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"postcard-front\" alt=\"postcard-front\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_udfzp1vLXt0\/SxQURovgNQI\/AAAAAAAAFL4\/Ku2aywRGXQw\/postcard-front%5B3%5D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"500\" height=\"768\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"postcard-back\" alt=\"postcard-back\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_udfzp1vLXt0\/SxQUSBf-VfI\/AAAAAAAAFL8\/SCU4wX_ZKyg\/postcard-back%5B3%5D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"500\" height=\"317\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The theme for the 6th edition of A Festival of Postcards is:\u00a0 White.
