{"id":794,"date":"2010-01-22T14:52:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-22T20:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/friday-finds-012210\/"},"modified":"2013-07-22T18:24:53","modified_gmt":"2013-07-22T23:24:53","slug":"friday-finds-012210","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/friday-finds-012210\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Finds \u2013 01\/22\/10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/images\/FridayFinds.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Weekly column sharing genealogy-related things that I\u2019ve learned or found.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blog<\/strong> \u2013 A new blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/geneapprentice.blogspot.com\/\">Geneapprentice<\/a>, entered the GeneaBlogger world last week.\u00a0 The blogger, Sarah, is working on two certificates under the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.genealogicalstudies.com\/\">National Institute of Genealogical Studies<\/a> program and will blog about her experience, as well as her own research.\u00a0 I\u2019m very excited about this blog and can\u2019t wait to hear more about NIGS, as I just signed up for classes this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blog<\/strong> \u2013 A new blog focusing on genealogy research in the states in the Midwest.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/midwest-genealogy.blogspot.com\/\">Midwest Genealogy<\/a> is authored by Sharlene Miller.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blog<\/strong> \u2013 A gave a presentation about genealogy blogging a few months ago at a DAR District meeting.\u00a0 I made a new friend, Alice, and she developed her own genealogy blog!\u00a0 She\u2019s off to a great start, so be sure to check out her blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/mygenealogyresearch-alice.blogspot.com\/\">My Genealogy Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article<\/strong> \u2013 Allen R.
