Over the years, I\u2019ve knocked several off my own list that I\u2019ve kept in my head. I thought it was time to get them out of my head and onto paper, so to speak. So here it goes\u2026<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Events I\u2019d Like to Attend<\/h5>\n<p>These are the events I\u2019d like to attend, in person, some day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gen-Fed<\/li>\n<li>Southern California Genealogical Society Jamboree<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 (2024) Ohio Genealogical Society Conference<\/li>\n<li>Ontario Genealogical Society Conference<\/li>\n<li>Genealogy cruise (not picky as to which one)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Repositories I\u2019d Like to Visit<\/h5>\n<p>I\u2019d like to be able to visit these repositories in person (instead of research from afar).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)<\/li>\n<li>Library of Congress<\/li>\n<li>DAR Library<\/li>\n<li>Library and Archives of Canada<\/li>\n<li>Ontario (Canada) Archives<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 (2024) Newberry Library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Looks like I need a trip to Washington, DC!<\/p>\n<h5>Ancestral Places I\u2019d Like to Visit<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Luxembourg<\/li>\n<li>Oakland County, Michigan<\/li>\n<li>New York (particularly Cayuga, Onondaga, Jefferson, Washington Counties)<\/li>\n<li>Germany (current and former locations now in Poland)<\/li>\n<li>New England (particularly Connecticut, Vermont, and Massachusetts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fortunately, I have genea-friends in all these locations who would love to show me around!<\/p>\n<h5>Track Down Immigrant Ancestors\u2019 Origins<\/h5>\n<p>I\u2019d like to drill down to a townland, or at least something other than a broad country! Still have a few that I need to work on, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Herman Leppin (Germany)<\/li>\n<li>Philip Rottman (Germany, Bavaria??)<\/li>\n<li>Eva Lesser (possibly Alsace-Lorraine)<\/li>\n<li>Timothy McMahon (Tipperary, Ireland)<\/li>\n<li>Margaret Ryan (Tipperary, Ireland)<\/li>\n<li>James Mulligan (Ireland)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Solve These Family History Mysteries<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Determine if Solomon Norton is the father of my fifth-great-grandmother Sarah Norton? I have not found any definitive proof of this, but it seems to be the consensus. Still working on it!<\/li>\n<li>Determine that parentage of Susan [\u2014?\u2014], the mother of my great-great-grandfather James Garrison.<\/li>\n<li>Determine whether the Emil Miller who died in East Moline, Illinois, is my guy or not. I know the fate of all of my second greats, except him!<\/li>\n<li>Determine the parentage of my fifth-great-grandmother Mary &#8220;Polly&#8221; Wheeler Smith<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Other Items<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2705 (2023) Finish the accreditation process.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the certification process. I have a lot of work already completed, but I kept running into issues with my case study, but I think I&#8217;ve got it figured out now.<\/li>\n<li>Publish an article in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What about you?
