Eeeek! This year unexpectedly turned into an educational year. I also am happy to report that I was elected to the board of the Association for Professional Genealogists (APG), so that will keep me busy for at least the next two years.

I didn’t make too much progress on my portfolio, and, in fact, I need to change my case study project, so all that work is out the window, at least for the portfolio—I plan to finish it though, and submit it to the National Genealogical Society Quarterly.

As for publishing articles, nope, didn’t do that either—but I have some lined up for 2019 (that’s progress, right?).

And as for the special project, it got put on hold for now.

So what do I have planned for 2019?

First, I want to relaunch my business. I’ve spent the last three months getting things in order to implement a revised business model. With that will come a a website redesign. This will hopefully all take place in the first quarter of the new year.

Second, I plan to work on a few books throughout the year. I’ve been spending time trying to figure out the best way to publish, so hopefully you’ll see something around the second quarter of 2019.

Third, I plan to publish several articles in 2019. I already have two lined up and am in discussions for others.

Fourth, I plan to blog more (for real, I swear!).

Fifth, I plan to attend my first APG Professional Management Conference.

With all of these things, plus my regular workload with FORUM, APG eNews, and clients, I’m not sure how much time I will be able to put toward my BCG portfolio, but whatever time I have free, that’s what I’ll be working on.

What about you?
