\"300x250_box\" As a RootsTech 2012 official blogger, I am happy to announce that I have a free registration to give away for the RootsTech 2012 Conference<\/a> in Salt Lake City, February 2-4, 2012.\u00a0 So I\u2019m holding a little contest here and the winner will receive the free registration.<\/p>\n

Please only enter if you intend on going to the conference.\u00a0 The contest runs through 8PM (Central) on Friday, November 18, 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How to Enter<\/strong><\/p>\n

Besides access to records online, what one tech-thing has helped you the most with your genealogy research and how has it helped you<\/em><\/strong>?\u00a0 Is it your favorite genealogy software?\u00a0 How about your digital voice recorder, digital camera, or scanner?\u00a0 Is it social media or web-based collaboration tools?\u00a0 What about tools such as word processing programs, spread sheets, note-taking applications, or photo editing software?<\/p>\n

Entry Instructions<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Email your entry to genblogjulie@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Use \u201cRootsTech Contest\u201d in the subject line.<\/li>\n
  3. Include your first and last name in the email.<\/li>\n
  4. Your answer must contain both the \u201cwhat\u201d and \u201chow\u201d in order to be eligible.\u00a0 Entries that do not have the required components will be disqualified.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Only one entry per person will be accepted.\u00a0 Enter only if you intend on attending the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Contest ends at 8PM (Central) on Friday, November 18, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 Entries received after that are not eligible.\u00a0 Only one entry per person will be accepted.<\/li>\n
    2. Entrants must follow the Entry Instructions<\/em> listed above in order to be qualified for the drawing.<\/li>\n
    3. One (1) winner<\/strong> will be drawn at random from the qualified entries after 8PM (Central) on Friday, November 18, 2012 and will receive a free registration for the RootsTech 2012 Conference<\/strong> (this does not<\/strong> include travel expenses, accommodations, etc.).\u00a0 The winner will be notified by email.\u00a0 An announcement will be posted to GenBlog on Saturday, November 19, 2012.<\/li>\n
    4. Your name and email address will be kept private.\u00a0 The winner\u2019s contact information will be sent only to the RootsTech folks for notification of the winner.\u00a0 I will contact the winner by email.\u00a0 Only the name (and website or blog address, if desired) of the winner will be posted on my blog announcing the winner.<\/li>\n
    5. If I like the commentary in your entry, I may contact you to ask permission to use it in a blog post, with credit of course.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
