He Was Abducted By Aliens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve been spending my \u201cfree\u201d time reviewing old issues of <em>Harvard Herald<\/em> to learn more about my Miller family who lived in McHenry County, Illinois in the early 1900s.\u00a0 There have been many discoveries made, which have furthered my research on this family.\u00a0 But this find, well, it was quite unusual.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Last week, I had come across the following brief in the 4 December 1913 issue:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/-O2GPggNoiJ4\/TvF_xmgnUdI\/AAAAAAAAGA8\/pJA2L1ErhRk\/KOTTKA%25252C%252520Katherine%252520KOTTKA%252520Article%25252001%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"300\" height=\"120\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At first I wasn\u2019t even sure it referred to my great-granduncle\u2019s wife, but the address seemed familiar, so I made a copy of it.\u00a0 What was odd, was it seemed that Henry wasn\u2019t in the picture, since she was looking for a \u201cmeans of support for herself and little child.\u201d\u00a0 This was why I initially questioned whether it was the same family.\u00a0 Consequently, I knew that sometime after 1920, they apparently divorced, but this was seven years prior, and two additional children were born of this union between 1914 and 1916.<\/p>\n<p>Then yesterday, I finally understood why she was seeking work.\u00a0 Henry had disappeared, as evidenced by the following article I found in the\u00a0 26 February 1914 issue:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/-BXkKu-OvEfk\/TvF_xyNlH8I\/AAAAAAAAGBE\/8lOflQTHh_0\/Henry%252520MILLER%2525202-26-1914%252520p1%252520c7%25255B4%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"300\" height=\"309\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>How bizarre is that?\u00a0 I wonder what happened to him, where he went, and how he managed to find his way home.\u00a0 Who knows, maybe he was abducted by aliens
