I am currently working on my fourth issue\u2026it\u2019s hard to believe it\u2019s been a year already!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Modified Cover.indd\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; float: right; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 0px 10px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Modified Cover.indd\" src=\"http:\/\/julietarr.com\/genealogy\/blog\/images\/6116605abe82_D733\/Pegasus.jpg\" width=\"200\" align=\"right\" height=\"286\">But what you might not have know, is that earlier this year, I accepted the editor position for the Dallas Genealogical Society\u2019s biennial publication, <em>Pegasus<\/em>.&nbsp; I am happy to report that my first issue is out!&nbsp; In fact, you can see a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dallasgenealogy.org\/DGS_Docs\/Journals\/2014\/August\/PDF\/DGS_Pegasus_Journal_2014_August_Vol_2_Num_1_Partial.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">preview version<\/a> of the issue, which includes one full article and the name index.&nbsp; I have had a lot of fun working on the publication and with the Publications Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Should you be interested in writing for <em>Pegasus<\/em>, check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/dallasgenealogy.org\/prod\/index.php\/journal-articles\" target=\"_blank\">Writer\u2019s Guidelines<\/a> for more information.&nbsp; Note that DGS <em>does<\/em> pay its authors upon publication, one of only a few societies that do so.<\/p>\n<p>Both publications keep me pretty busy these days.&nbsp; And on top of that, I\u2019ve been working on various articles, which should be published later this year.&nbsp; I am also still working on a new course for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.genealogicalstudies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Institutes for Genealogical Studies<\/a>.&nbsp; All of these things, along with client work, have kept me away from the blog lately.&nbsp;
