So instead of doing a \u201cpacking\u201d list for my upcoming trip to the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) 2013 Conference and Allen County Public Library (ACPL), I thought I\u2019d post my to-do list.  These are things I needed to do to prepare for the conference and research at the ACPL.  I used a similar list when prepping for RootsTech 2012 in conjunction with a trip to the Family History Library.  Maybe it will help you as you prep for the FGS conference, which is just a mere week away!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nSave syllabus to Kindle Fire.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nPrint Exhibit Hall map<\/a> and mark the booths I want to visit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nSync Families app on Kindle Fire with Legacy.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nPrint to-do list for research at the ACPL.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nPrint out calendar, just in case my phone battery dies (or else I won\u2019t know where to be when!)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nMake sure I have enough personal and ISGS business cards ready to go.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"checkmark\"<\/td>\nCreate a list of items to bring along as my research toolkit (e.g., laptop, Kindle Fire, camera, notebook, pencils, etc.).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
