\"ISGS2013Conference\"I\u2019m happy to announce that the Illinois State Genealogical Society\u2019s Fall Conference<\/a> will host George G. Morgan as the featured speaker!  In addition to George, Thomas MacEntee will be back this year, along with many other great speakers, all covering a wide range of topics.<\/p>\n

The ISGS Fall Conference will be held October 25-26, 2013<\/strong> at the Timber Creek Inn & Suites in Sandwich, Illinois<\/strong>.  Sandwich is about 20 miles southwest of Aurora, and about 30 miles northeast of Ottawa.<\/p>\n

22 July 2013 \u2013 Springfield, IL<\/b>. Registration is now open for the Illinois State Genealogical Society<\/a> (ISGS)2013 Fall conference to be held on October 25 and 26 in Sandwich, Illinois, at the Timber Creek Inn & Suites and Convention Center. This year\u2019s conference theme \u2013 The Way They Were <\/i><\/b>\u2013 brings <\/i><\/b>a variety of presenters offering lectures to assist attendees in identifying the \u201cthey\u201d in genealogical research. In addition, a focus on \u201cwere\u201d will explore the importance of capturing family stories and ancestor anecdotes to round out a family\u2019s history. <\/p>\n

Featured Speaker: George G. Morgan<\/b> <\/h6>\n

Headlining a group of speakers is highly popular national and international genealogical speaker and professional genealogist, George G. Morgan<\/b>. Morgan is president of Aha! Seminars, Inc. and is the author of ten landmark genealogy books, including the award-winning How to Do Everything with Your Genealogy<\/i>. Morgan also co-hosts The Genealogy Guys Podcast, the longest running genealogy podcast on the Internet. He is Vice President for Membership Services for the Federation of Genealogical Societies, and a member of many societies in the U.S. and U.K. <\/p>\n
