This collection is my <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Diigo<\/a><em><\/em><em> bookmark library targeted at genealogy. I created a list for each state, as well as a few countries and various topics. There is also a list for general genealogy resources. Over the next week or so, I will highlight some of these lists.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"luxembourg\" alt=\"luxembourg\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/-Lt7Uw69te5Q\/UH5HrE1LRVI\/AAAAAAAAG4M\/K4npW274eNM\/luxembourg%25255B4%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"150\" height=\"121\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" \/> Luxembourg Genealogy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few of the resources I use frequently when researching my Luxembourg ancestors.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/search\/collection\/show#uri=http:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/searchapi\/search\/collection\/1709358\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Luxembourg Civil Registrations, 1793-1923<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Digital images of births, marriages, and deaths filmed by the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.\u00a0 Refer to my post <a title=\"Using Luxembourg Civil Registrations on FamilySearch\" href=\"http:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/using-luxembourg-civil-registrations-on-familysearch\/\" target=\"_blank\">Using Luxembourg Civil Registrations on FamilySearch<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_communes_of_Luxembourg\" target=\"_blank\">List of Communes of Luxembourg<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Great resource from Wikipedia that lists the names of all Luxembourg communes that correspond to a number on a map for geographical reference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldpostcardsluxembourg.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Old Postcards<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Tons of real-photo postcards of places in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.duprel.com\/research.html\" target=\"_blank\">Research Tools<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0 Research tools for Luxembourg and France. Includes general information, word lists, town lists, maps, and more. Also information on Alsace Lorraine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/learn\/wiki\/en\/German_Word_List\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>German Word List<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Very helpful resource from the FamilySearch Wiki for understanding records written in German.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/learn\/wiki\/en\/French_Wordlist\" target=\"_blank\">French Word List<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 If you are working with Luxembourg records, you will need to know French as well as German, especially the further back in time you go.\u00a0 This list is also from the FamilySearch Wiki.\u00a0 It\u2019s not as visually-friendly as the German Word List, but it\u2019s the only one I know of at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\/list\/joodles77\/luxembourg-genealogy\" target=\"_blank\">Luxembourg Genealogy<\/a> for the entire list of Luxembourg resources, or visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\/list\/joodles77\" target=\"_blank\">my library<\/a> to see my entire collection and other lists.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m always updating these resources, so be sure to check back regularly.
