\"ISGS<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier today, the Illinois State Genealogical Society<\/a> (ISGS) announced that registration is now open for the 2013 Webinar series!\u00a0 This year\u2019s lineup has something for everyone, from beginners to experts, and everyone in between.<\/p>\n

Webinars are a fantastic way for genealogists to learn more about research, methodology, records, and more.\u00a0 ISGS offers the live broadcast of their webinars to the public for free on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 PM Central.\u00a0 ISGS members have access to all the webinar recordings after they\u2019re presented live.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As the Education Committee Chair for ISGS, I will be attending all of the webinars.\u00a0 I\u2019m looking forward to each and every one, but I am especially excited about a few in particular.<\/p>\n

Timelines: Placing Your Heritage in Historical Perspective<\/strong><\/a> with Laura Prescott<\/strong> on May 14.\u00a0 I love Laura, she\u2019s a fantastic speaker and I always learn a lot from her presentations.\u00a0 And, I love timelines, so any new tips I can pick up is a bonus.<\/p>\n

The Research Calendar: A Resource You Cannot Live Without<\/a><\/strong> with Luana Darby<\/strong> on June 11.\u00a0 Many people have requested this topic and I can understand why.\u00a0 This is definitely something I struggle with, so I look forward to Luana\u2019s tips.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the Honorable, the General Assembly\u201d – The Treasure Trove in Legislative Petitions<\/a><\/strong> with Judy G. Russell<\/strong> on September 10.\u00a0 Judy is a wonderful speaker and I am so glad she agreed to do a webinar for ISGS.\u00a0 It\u2019s an interesting topic and I think it will open people up to a source that may be unfamiliar to them.<\/p>\n
