\"newyear\"<\/a>While I didn\u2019t quite accomplish everything I wanted to in 2012, I did manage to get some things done.\u00a0 See 2012 Achievements<\/a> to find out more.\u00a0 Now it\u2019s time to move on and set my 2013 genealogy goals.<\/p>\n

BCG Certification<\/strong> \u2013 Same as last year<\/a>.\u00a0 My main goal is to \u201cstart the clock\u201d this year for BCG<\/a> certification.<\/p>\n

Publishing Articles<\/strong> \u2013 Ongoing goal, but I want to publish more this year and in a variety of publications.<\/p>\n

Dedicate More Time to My Genealogy Writing Blog<\/strong> \u2013 I started Writing Your Way to the Past<\/a> in 2011.\u00a0 The intent was to focus on the writing aspect of genealogy (the blog also serves as my \u201cbusiness\u201d website, temporarily).\u00a0 I\u2019ve been neglecting this blog not intentionally, but I just haven\u2019t had the time to dedicate as much as I would like.\u00a0 I have several of posts drafted, but haven\u2019t been able to actually finish them.\u00a0 Hoping to change that in 2013.<\/p>\n

Continue Working on American Records Certificate Through National Institute for Genealogical Studies<\/strong> \u2013 I started working toward the American Records certificate through National Institute for Genealogical Studies<\/a> back in 2010.\u00a0 I have completed the basic courses and a few electives.\u00a0 My goal for this year is to complete the intermediate courses.<\/p>\n

Continue Growing My Genealogy Business<\/strong> \u2013 In 2012, I put a little bit more focus into my genealogy business<\/a> and worked with several new clients.\u00a0 I\u2019m hoping that 2013 is the year I can finally start putting all<\/em> of my energy into growing the business and be more proactive and deliberate in finding clients and projects.<\/p>\n

These are my major goals for 2013.\u00a0 In addition, I will continue to work on my own research projects and volunteer for Illinois State Genealogical Society<\/a> and my DAR chapter.<\/p>\n
