believe the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgsconference.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) 2013 Conference<\/a> is just a little over two months away!\u00a0 I\u2019m really looking forward to spending a week in Forth Wayne, Indiana, where I can visit with all my genealogy friends (and hopefully meet some new ones!!), explore the exhibit hall, take in some wonderful lectures, and of course, spend some time at the Allen County Public Library.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m a planner by nature.\u00a0 I like to know what I\u2019m doing and when\u2026I <em>don\u2019t<\/em> like surprises.\u00a0 So the minute the conference schedule was announced, I immediately added to my calendar the session I wanted to attend.\u00a0 There are a few in particular that I think will help me with my genealogy research, especially in places and records that I\u2019m unfamiliar with.\u00a0 Here are some of those sessions:<\/p>\n<table width=\"500\" border=\"1\" Public Library<\/a>.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never been to ACPL so I\u2019m really looking forward to my first visit.\u00a0 I\u2019m still working on my plan of attack, but fortunately, I had previously added plenty of to-do items to my Legacy database, so a quick filter on ACPL showed a lot of resources I need to check out.\u00a0 I\u2019ve also been perusing the ACPL <a href=\"http:\/\/smartcat.acpl.lib.in.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">card catalog<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.genealogycenter.org\/Home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Genealogy page<\/a> for guidance.\u00a0 Not sure if I\u2019ll break down any brick walls, but you never know what you\u2019ll find until you look!<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgsconference.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">FGS 2013 Conference<\/a> is being held August 21-24 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgsconference.org\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\">registered<\/a> for the conference yet, there is still plenty of time to do so and still get the early-bird rate of $190 (ends July 1, after that, the rate increases to $240).\u00a0
