took a few minutes today to review the details of the 2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isfhwe.org\/\">International Society of Family History Writers and Editors<\/a> Excellence in Writing Competition.\u00a0 Right off the bat I noticed a few changes that I think people will be interested in learning about.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The word limit for Category I \u201cColumns\u201d has been increased to 2,000 (was previously 1,000).<\/li>\n<li>The \u201crules\u201d for Category II \u201cArticles\u201d now specify that submissions from blogs are acceptable (this was previously \u201cimplied\u201d as a website).<\/li>\n<li>Category III, which was previously \u201cGenealogy Research Story,\u201d has been replaced by \u201cGenealogy Newsletters.\u201d\u00a0 This is for society or family association newsletters.<\/li>\n<li>Category IV has been renamed to \u201cUnpublished Authors,\u201d and the word limit has been changed to between 500 and 2,000 (1,000 was previously the max).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submissions for the writing competition will be accepted <strong>starting<\/strong> <strong>January 1, 2013<\/strong>, with a <strong>deadline of June 15, 2013<\/strong>.\u00a0 Both ISFHWE members and non-members are allowed to enter the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Complete details, including rules, judging criteria, entry fees,
