{"id":172,"date":"2011-12-05T10:46:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T16:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/orphan-photo-104\/"},"modified":"2013-07-05T22:01:56","modified_gmt":"2013-07-06T03:01:56","slug":"orphan-photo-104","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/genealogy.julietarr.com\/blog\/orphan-photo-104\/","title":{"rendered":"Orphan Photo #104"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/-XKZB9_K0n7k\/TtvOI78j3vI\/AAAAAAAAF_M\/pOq9R-Vq9H4\/Orphan%2525200104-A%25255B5%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"350\" height=\"603\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Orphan 0104-B\" alt=\"Orphan 0104-B\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/-HE-_mT47IXY\/TtvOI6G69VI\/AAAAAAAAF_U\/B0atysXeCmc\/Orphan%2525200104-B%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800\" width=\"350\" height=\"55\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is a photo of Mary Lydia Webster.\u00a0 Mary was born on 11 June 1904 at Cambridge, Guernsey, Ohio to Willis Vance Webster and Emma Stanton.<sup>1<\/sup>\u00a0 Mary died at the age of 98 on 2 June 2003 at Columbus, Franklin, Ohio.<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0 She was a school teacher retiring after 44 years of service.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The photo was probably taken about 1907-1908 when Mary was about three or four years of age.\u00a0 The photo itself measures 3-1\/8\u201d x 5-3\/8\u201d and is mounted on a decorative board measuring 5-1\/4\u201d x 8-7\/8\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>I have compiled a family tree for her family, but since Mary and two of her siblings passed away within the last 12 years (one as recent as 2009), I\u2019ve decided not to post the tree.\u00a0 Mary never married and does not have any descendants of her own, but she had many nieces and nephews and was referred to as \u201cAunt Mary\u201d in her obituary.\u00a0 I will begin contacting them to see if they would like this photo.<\/p>\n<p>What I will share is the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mary\u2019s parents, Willis Vance Webster and Emma Stanton were married on 23 August 1888 in Belmont County, Ohio.<sup>4<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Willis was born on 1 March 1861 at Quaker City, Guernsey, Ohio,<sup>5<\/sup> and died on 15 April 1945.<sup>6<\/sup>\u00a0 According to his death certificate, his parents were Thomas Webster and Lydia Richardson.<\/li>\n<li>Emma was born in October 1864 in Ohio,<sup>7<\/sup> and died on 30 October 1958 in Columbus, Ohio;<sup>8<\/sup> I have no information on her parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of you who read my main genealogy blog know that Websters run deep in my family tree.\u00a0 And it is quite possible that Mary is a very distance cousin of mine.\u00a0 As much as I would love to keep the photo for that reason, there are nieces\/nephews and grand-nieces\/nephews that deserve to have this photo among their family treasures.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Sources<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 &#8220;Mary L Webster \u2018Aunt Mary,\u2019&#8221;
