François KREMER (variant KRAMER or KREAMER) is my fourth great-grandfather. He and his wife, Catharina MÜLLER, had several children. So far, I have discovered that two of their children emigrated from Luxembourg to the United States, as did a granddaughter, who is my second great-grandmother.

This week I get to talk about one of my favorite families: SCHWARTZ.  It’s one of my favorites because they came from Luxembourg, which is such a wonderful place to research.  Despite the records being in German (old script at that) and/or French, neither of which I can actually read, records are abundant and readily available.  And, the women are kind enough to keep their maiden name with them at all times!  I’ve found a ton of information on this and my other Luxembourg families, in a very short period […]
