Last Saturday, Randy challenged us to create a “visited states and provinces map.” Yes, I’m a little late to the party, but I thought I’d take a few minutes today and play around with this map tool. I can think of other uses for this in terms of genealogy, but at present, I really don’t have time to experiment. Instead, I added a note to Evernote to explore this tool further for genealogy, especially in terms of places families lived and migration. In the meantime, here is my map.
Key:
- Red for states where I’ve not spent much time or seen very much.
- Orange for states where I’ve at least slept and seen some sights.
- Purple for states I’ve spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of.
- Green for states I’ve spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.
