The word prompt for the 13th Edition of Smile For The Camera is All Creatures Great And Small.
Show us a photograph of the family pet. The pet that made it into every family snapshot. That pampered pet your ancestors took to the photographic studio to immortalize in an expensive photograph. The best friend who was there for your ups and downs. Bring them to the carnival and share with us how they were loved through the ages. Admission is free with every photograph!
Nova was my first-ever (and so far only) cat. I never had one growing up and once I was out on my own, I wanted one. That was 12 years ago! My husband came into the picture after him, and naturally, he “adopted” Nova. About a year-and-a-half ago, my husband and I decided to finally get a dog. We’d been going back-and-forth for years, but the opportunity came when we heard of a chocolate lab puppy that needed a new home ASAP. So, Dakota came home with us when he was just seven months old. Nearly a year-and-a-half later, the cat and dog still do NOT get along. The cat pretty much rules the house and he just doesn’t like the dog AT ALL! But we manage; sibling rivalry I guess. So here are some pics of our pampered pets.
They’re precious – and our cats always ruled our dogs, too.
Nova doesn’t look particularly worried, though, does she? Maybe the Lab is just the kind of challenge that a strong-minded cat needs!
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
