Most likely these young ladies are sisters.  The photo is mounted on a board embossed with a very detailed and ornate pattern.

Surname Saturday – Kremer (Luxembourg / Illinois)

François KREMER (variant KRAMER or KREAMER) is my fourth great-grandfather. He and his wife, Catharina MÜLLER, had several children. So far, I have discovered that two of their children emigrated from Luxembourg to the United States, as did a granddaughter, who is my second great-grandmother.
