A week or so ago, during my research, I came across an engagement and wedding announcement, neither of which were what I was searching for.  However, they caught my eye.

The 61st edition of the Carnival of Genealogy revolves around tradition. This post will be short.  I am still in my research mode, but I’ve missed the last few carnivals so I wanted to put together a quick post for this one. My family didn’t necessarily have any solid holiday traditions.  And the “traditions” we did have evolved over the years with the passing of family members.

Randy over at Genea-Musings, posted a Saturday night challenge to find your 1000th person in your family tree software.  For me, this was easy.  I use Legacy, so all I had to do was go to the Index tab and type 1000 into the RIN search field.  Viola!  Susannah WEBSTER is my #1000.  Susannah is my second cousin nine times removed; she is the daughter of John WEBSTER and Abiel Bradford STEELE.
