FamilySearch has all sorts of genealogy-related materials digitized and available online. From records to books, there’s a lot to peruse.
One section of their website is the FamilySearch Digital Library, which has oodles of digitized books. This is a great place to find all sorts of genealogy-related books, such as family histories, county histories, and more.
In this video I’ll show you how to find, view, and download digital books from the FamilySearch Digital Library.
P.S. I talk about the different access levels in this video. For more details, see: Which Books in the FamilySearch Digital Library Require Access Rights?
Can I download a digitized book to my Kindle?
Hi Barbara,
I’m not sure I have an answer to your question. It’s been quite some time since I used a Kindle device, but I suppose it’s possible to download PDFs to the device from the device using its web browser. If it can be done, I can’t tell you how, sorry. BUT, you can download a PDF using your computer web browser and send it to your Kindle using your unique Kindle email. Sorry I’m not more help 🙁
