I really don’t have much in the way of family tied to Nevada. But seeing as my tenth wedding anniversary is approaching, I thought I share a quick post related to my parent’s fifth wedding anniversary trip to Las Vegas.
In October 1972, my parents celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas. I have a few photos from their trip, as well as a telegram from their dearest friends wishing them a happy anniversary.
According to the telegram, they stayed at the Thunderbird Motel. I found a website that has the history of the Thunderbird and learned that it was demolished in 2000.
