Julie, thank you so much for mentioning my post about railroad pension records. My sister just ordered the pension file for someone in her husband’s family tree, so I can’t wait to see what she receives. For anyone with railroad employees in their family tree, it’s a very easy process. Thanks again for the mention!
I have several family members who worked for CB&Q, so I have an interest in learning about various record types. Many of them did’t receive a pension, but I did find a grandson of one in the index. I was able to find some photos of the shops while visiting a local historical society, but that’s about as far as I’ve gone. Have plenty of to-do items, just not the time…one day 🙂 In the meantime, I continue to collect ideas for possible resourses, so thank you for sharing your experience with the pensions.
