Weekly column sharing genealogy-related things that I’ve found, such as new blogs, interesting posts/articles, useful websites and resources, and of course upcoming webinars.
New-to-Me Blogs
- A Patient Genealogist, Devon Lee [This blog has been around since 2010; how I missed it, I have no idea!]
Online Articles
I’m still about two weeks behind on blog reading, but I did manage to get to a few last night.
- Ancestry.com Did Not Buy HeritageQuest!, The Ancestry Insider
- Creating My Who Do You Think You Are? Story, Genea-Musings
- NGS Announces Research Trip to Salt Lake City, GeneaPress [If you have never been to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, this is a trip you should consider. Shirley Wilcox is an excellent host and I learned all the tricks for effective research at the library (she also helped this “newbie-at-the-time” with a few research questions). I was well-prepared for my subsequent trips and highly recommend the NGS trip.]
