Early today I came across the latest information about this year’s Midwestern Roots Conference.  The conference, put on by the Indiana Historical Society (IHS) will be held July 20-21, 2012 in Indianapolis.  I’ve had conflicts in previous years, but this year, I finally get to go!

TNG version 9, a major upgrade for The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding, is now available from Next Generation Software (http://www.tngsitebuilding.com). The new release will be on sale exclusively at the RootsTech Family History and Technology Conference in Salt Lake City until Feb. 6, after which it will be available to the general public as well.

The Who Will Tell Their Story? blog has reached a huge milestone today by posting its 100th orphan photo.  Since January 2009, this blog has been posting orphan photos in the hopes of reuniting these cherished family mementos with their rightful owners.  I have successfully reunited a few with family and am still working on a handful of others, some in part through the help of readers who have done some digging on their own.
