This year’s Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) Professional Management Conference (PMC) will be held September 19-21, 2019, at the Hotel RL in Salt Lake City. The PMC is a great way for professional genealogists (and those transitioning) to learn from experts on topics ranging from owning/running a business to advanced methodology. The National Genealogical Society 2017 Family History Conference will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, from May 10-13, 2017. Since 2014, the National Genealogical Society has been offering live streaming of ten sessions (broken down into two tracks) during their annual conference. Although they are streamed live, those who register for one or both of the tracks can watch them live or on-demand at any time during the three months following the conference. It occurred to me, as I was writing an article on the subject of the conference for the upcoming issue of FORUM, that I hadn’t yet blogged about the conference. Better late than never, I suppose, so here we go!

I was happy to receive an email from the National Genealogical Society (NGS) announcing that registration was now open for the live streaming sessions that will run during the NGS 2016 Conference in May. NGS starting offering this option in 2014, and since I had not attended that conference, I was able to register for one track of the live stream.
