Week 33 Prompt: Comedy
This week’s 52 Ancestors theme is”Comedy.” I really couldn’t think of anything, so I enlisted the help of my mom. Here’s a cute little story about my maternal grandparents, as told by my mom.
“Soooo, once upon a time my mom and dad were having an argument. Mom was very upset. She had been making a pie and thought it turned out pretty good. Mom always had a heck of a time making a pie crust and she thought this one was the best. Well, during the argument, she got so mad at Dad that she threw the pie at him! The argument was over and Dad helped her clean up the mess. As he was picking it up off the floor, he tasted it and said, ‘Marie, this is the best pie crust you’ve ever made!’ After that, the only pie crust she ever made was a graham cracker crust.”
